Welcome

Welcome to the Inverurie Academy website!

Inverurie Academy is a comprehensive school of around 900 students serving the catchment in and around the town of Inverurie, in the North-East of Scotland.   Our Core Values at Inverurie Academy are Ambition, Inclusion, Integrity and Respect.  Quite simply, we will do everything we can to ensure that all students leave Inverurie Academy with these values forming a part of who they are.  We welcome the chance to work with you as parents and carers, members of the local community, partner Primary Schools or business partners to help make opportunities for students even better.   This website will provide a window into Inverurie Academy and I hope you find it useful.  However, it is just a window and the best way to get to know the school is to get to meet our people; our students, staff, parents and local community.   Mr M Jones Head Teacher

Charities Fundraiser - Foodbank

THANK YOU and WELL DONE to everyone who brought in a phenomenal amount of food and donations at the end of term for the Inverurie Food Bank. In addition to two car loads of food, we raised £562 which will go towards the emergency food fund – which is used when public donations dry up.  What an amazing achievement – thank you so much to everyone who brought in donations of food and their £1!

Rwanda Spinning Fundraiser

The House Captains, School Captains and Sports Captains of Inverurie Academy took part in a spinathon fundraiser in the effort of raising money for the five children who, as a school, we sponsor in Rwanda.

With the aim of raising £100 per house, the Captains each committed to riding 100 miles over the course of the day.  By the end, the team had ridden in excess of 1,500 miles – an incredible effort.

If you would like to sponsor this great effort, you can still do so through www.gofundme.com/inverurie-academy-rwanda-fundraiser

Project Paws

At Inverurie Academy, we are always looking for ways to encourage students to achieve their potential.  Project Paws is an initiative to support students in encouraging reading and in general therapy / support through involving Therapet Dogs such as Breagh.    We hope to grow this project going forward and eventually to have several dogs working in the school.  Look out for more publicity about Breagh and dog-colleagues!
